My name is Margaret A. Hanson. I’m an editor and writer with a background in science.

While doing my PhD in chemistry, my supervisor got in the habit of having me edit manuscripts for English so that she was free to focus on the science. When I decided to to leave the lab behind, I realized that those same writing and editing skills were the most important thing I had to offer science. I’m currently studying toward a publishing certificate at Ryerson University. I’ve already completed coursework in educational publishing, scholarly publishing, copyediting and substantive editing.
